As way of background I am the author of Expanded Galaxy Mod, a SP mod that allows customisation of the Normandy, new weapons, armors and lots of RPG style improvements.

A couple of players are very keen for me to create a patch to allow then to use a controller and I wanted some advice on how to do this.
There are going to be quite a few conflicts: EGM mods a lot of the Normandy so there are many GUI aspects like galaxy map, war asset terminal, mail terminal. EGM also has slightly customised GUI elements.Commands

EGM Expanded Galaxy Mod for Mass Effect 3, as mentioned in the name, expands the universe of the game. Major changes in the gameplay from Mass Effect. ME3 Expanded Galaxy Mod. A comprehensive PC-only mod that provides a more immersive and complete experience for ME3's single player campaign.

I see you have created an GUI injector which could be incredibly useful in swapping in compatible parts.

So I've recently installed the Expanded Galaxy Mod for Mass Effect 3 and I really like it, however I've noticed that some of the modifications I made in the coalesced.bin file were no longer active. I checked the file and the values I set were still in there so I can only imagine that the mod somehow bypasses the entire file or something. Bombardment of this planet in EGM is a coalition defeat reducing some assets. Pyjaks in Spectre Terminal leads to problems and minor losses. EGM decision for prison divisions gives you first a massive war asset, is reduced to 40 something after a while. Supplying the cults helps 3 cults in total, 1 goes rogue.

So what would be the best way to go about creating a patch?
Do I need to do anything else other than edit GUI elements?
The SP controller mod - it overwrites all changes to tlks? Or just the particular buttons it uses?
